Company fined for not adequately assessing Health Risks
Chemical risk assessments play a vital role in understanding the materials you work with and how they could affect the health of workers. In a recent court hearing a firm was fined for having an inadequate Risk Assessment and for failing to control the risk of exposure to lead. They had carried out a shot blast operation to strip lead based paint from window frames as part of a refurbishment process.
It's very easy to see what should happen and avoid these risks.
