HSE Strategy

HSE publish new five-year strategy for British Health and Safety.

The HSE’s strategy review covers 6 themes as follows:
•    Promoting broader ownership of workplace health and safety
•    Highlighting and tackling the burden of work-related ill-health
•    Supporting small firms
•    Enabling productivity through proportionate risk management
•    Anticipating and tackling the challenges of new technology and ways of working
•    Sharing the benefits of Great Britain’s approach

Judith Hackitt (HSE Chair) feels that “Getting risk management right is an enabler for productivity, innovation and growth, and is integral to business success as well as the wellbeing of workers” and you should never forget Richard Branson’s comment “If you look after your staff, they'll look after your customers. It's that simple.”
